Guardian Angel

Chapter 1

?'s POV

I sat there, quiet, as I watched the on going fight. I had a sticking feeling in my gut that something bad was going to happen, but I kept my mouth shut. The more I set there watching, the more the feeling grew. I knew something was going to happen, but I felt like I couldn't stop it, since I didn't know what it was yet. And but the time I would, it may be too late to do anything.

I have to say something, made I could pull them away from the danger of fighting this thing. Maybe... I can make this feeling go away, without loosing everyone.. I have to try.

"Guys, I think you need to ge-" I started, but it was a bit too late. No-one saw it coming. All we heard was a scream, an ear-splitting one. My heart was racing as I jumped up and ran over to see what happened. My heart froze in my chest. There had been 3 figures fighting this thing, but only 2 were standing. There was a pool of blood laying around the one on the ground.

The two other figures turned to look at me sadly, tears in their eyes. I dropped down on my knees never to the one laying on the ground, already crying my eyes out.

"O-Older-me?"

His eyes opened half-way as I spoke. There was blood all over him so I couldn't tell what happened to him more then he was hurt bad. He weakly put a hand on my shoulder.

"Hey, don't cry kid..." he said, his voice sounded like he was in a lot of pain, and we could tell that he was. "It'll be okay.."

"N-no it won't, Older-me," I chocked out through my tears. "Y-you're hurt! Bad! You could die! And I don't want you to leave me!"

"I know..." he weakly pulled me close to him, and right then, I didn't care if I was getting blood on my fur, I just laid my head on him and cried. He patted me on my back as I sobbed. "Everything will be alright, Mini-me.. Please don't cry... I hate seeing you cry.."

I tried to stop crying, for him, but I just couldn't. The tears came at their own will now. I snuggled up to him as best I could get. This could be the last time I could be next to my older-self...

"O-Older-me, please don't leave us..." I begged. "Please.. I don't want you to leave. I'll miss you!"

"I'll miss you too.." he said, and looked behind me and mouthed something to the other two, who nodded, crying now just as much as I was. He turned his gaze back to me and hugged me closer to him, so I could hear his still beating, but slow heart. He hummed a song to try and calm me down.

I calmed down a bit, but not enough to stop crying. He rubbed my back as he sung a song that I had asked him to a while back to make me feel better. He was doing it now, but it was painful as it was relaxing. His voice got quieter and quieter. I lifted my head up as I realized his, my eyes widen.

As he finished the song, he whispered, "I love you, Mini-me.. You were the best younnger-self I could ever hope for..."

"I-I love y-you too O-Older-me.." I said, and hugged him tighter, crying as he dead right then and there.

The older of the three of us, pulled me close to him as I cried my eyes out.
