Dreams Cast Upon the Young

Chapter 4

The two of us went back to bed after feeing the kids. I had trouble sleeping again even with M. Sonic beside me. The thought of Dreamcast Sonic was coming to get me, was a lot to think about. It didn't help much that when I closed my eyes, I heard his evil laugh, the sick twisted grin on his face.. His voice.. echoing in my mind..

Keep your eyes open you little kuso.. Keep looking behind you.. Because I'll be coming for you soon… M. Sonic can't keep you safe from me forever. And then, the fun will begin..You can run little hedgehog, but you can't hide behind him forever..

My eyes snapped open and I set up-right. My heart was prounding so loud I thought it was going blew up anything second. I must have dozed off… For the rest of the night, I just laid there, listening to all the sounds around me. M. Sonic and the kids asleep… the animals outside.. I sighed quietly.

The smell of pancakes woke me up the next morning. I fell asleep again… Damnit.. I went downstairs and saw pancakes on the table and saw M. Sonic making pancakes. I yawned and set down at the table and started to eat them. I kept falling asleep while I was eating them.

"Mini-me… You didn't sleep last night did you?" the older hedgehog asked, as he woke me back up before I fell off the table.

"No.. I didn't.." I replied with another yawn.

"Alright.. Go and lay down on the couch and get some sleep. I'll watch over you while you sleep.."

"But older-me—"

He cut me off by pointing to the other room with his hand. "Go."

I sighed getting up and walked into the other room and laid down on the couch and curled up and went to sleep in a matter of seconds.
